Dear Lake Land Brethrens. It is almost 20 years since I last fellowshipped with you. God had been great to me and the family and continue to serve him in Kenya. When I joined your church I was given a warm welcome in fall 2002. The elders led by Reg and Ronny were very kind. The ladies led by Patsy Parrish and family remains etched in my life for their motherly support and kindness. They adopted me like their own. Allow me to send my sincere gratitude to you on behalf of my family , I sincerely misses you all especially those I had opportunity to fellowship with from Fall 02 to Dec. 04. It was a glorious part of my life. I moved on to SiU- Carbondale completing my PHD in Dec. 07 and returned to Kenya where I am a professor and a senior government officer , thanks to your support and prayers. As you congregate today, know that in spirit we are one . and when the call up the yonder , I will be there. Be blessed and pass my greetings and love to all.
Good to hear from you Erastus! I was just talking about you with another young man from Kenya (Paul) who attended our services on October 13th. He said that he knew you. This was either a strange coincidence or he did know you and let you know that we still think about you. I’ll pass your message on to the congregation, especially Reg, Ron and Patsy.
